Ah, isn't it awful?

Most of the GIFs or screenshots I take goes straight to tumblr, but I've had to stop following a huge amount of people cause I get too addicted easily. Those who have a tumblr will relate to this. I would love to fangirl more with them but my time can't afford that... OTL

Now, I don't know what I should do with my livejournal and this. And twitter. Lately, I don't know what to do with them. Should I make posts for thoughts? I don't want to. Then again... if writing about personal stuff it is, shouldn't it be on my journal? As in... livejournal. Tough.

Even if I get to decide, managing JE Anniversaries@tumblr and JENewsDaily@wordpress consumes most of my time, and I know I should give up but i'm quite happy with the results. Everyday I keep improving them. Though, I don't receive that many comments but I just realized JEND is not a page that you can actually comment about that much... orz

Anyways, I think I will just keep livejournal as an upload page, though I'm quite messy about it, with no schedule or anything. I take requests though. Maybe some videos you don't have or something.

As for now, I've decided I won't post translations here, I might as well post them right in JEND because the whole point of that blog is to be quick and read all JE news fast, for those on hiatus and stuff...

The 47th single of SMAP 「Sakasama no Sora」 (released on April 25th) sold 135,000 copies on its first week. SMAP is leading the single ranking of the Week (5/7).

This will be the first time that a J&A group has sung the theme song for an NHK Asadora. This time is for “Umechan-sensei” starring Horikita Maki as a young woman trying to become a doctor right after the end of World War II.

This will be the 25th single of SMAP that reaches the number one spot on it's release week, and their 14th consecutive one (starting with "freebird"). Let's remember their debut single "Can't Stop!!－Loving－" reached the 2nd place on it's release week.

I'm gonna resume news posted by Oricon relating Johnny's from now on... Some parts might be slightly wrong xD! (Since I'm an intermediate basic japanese speaker) but... it is what it is. 

 

SMAP's Katori Shingo will be appointed to the new image character for the CM Series of Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical Co., Inc.).

He conducted a weight loss program and he lost 10Kg in order to take a picture. "Basically they wouldn't with my previous weight so I had to make an effort, since I'm not a kid anymore it would be hard, I was aiming for 83 point but I got 94 points", he expressed full of humility.

"My body had become a little loose, when the staff took pictures of me they kept saying things like 'You are hiding the stomach, aren't you?', so I was no longer the acclaimed beauty that I used to be", when he said that, he invited the laughter of the hall.

During the press conference, 5 masked wrestlers appeared and they competed in arm wrestling, sadly he was defeated in overwhelming strength, the arm wrestling champion was showing a great expression of happiness.

This CM will start broadcasting on April 20th to show off new "physical beauty", Katori-san.

So, in 2007 we had a collaboration between Kokubun Taicchi, Ueda Tatsuya and Nakamaru Yuiichi. This time they added Taguchi and I love this song better than the original (from CHAIN album).

These 3 don't usually get the solo parts in KAT-TUN, so it's quite nice to hear their voices. I love SCP, I hope this is the beginning of many many more collaborations :3

来た！I wanted to see this dorama ever since the cast was announced. I'm sorry I have no screencaps, just watched it on a streaming site.

First, SHINTARO. Juniors picked him as the #1 Macho among them in this year's Myojo (3rd edition), and damn, he is. He plays the leader of the gang, who is kinda dumb, kinda cute, that awkward combination is always a win.

Bromance with MATSUMURA. He has changed a lot since the B.I.Shadow days, he made a big impression on me, he is confident, calmed, the brain of Shintaro-Matsumura pair and I didn't remember him being so cool.

JESSE & YUGO. The previous was the badass pair, this one is the lovely pair. They kick ass fighting together, choreography and all, even with special handshakes. Oh, boy's friendship is the best, right? Jesse has always been the cool type but Yugo was the most awkward member in B.I.Shadow, to the point where I doubted he would ever get important enough to debut and thank God, he's been proving me wrong during this last year in Shounen Club, I'm hoping lots of great moments from this pair, in order to make lots of GIFs! XD

TAIGA. I haven't quite figured out his character, he seems like the one that's holding a grudge, he's the mysterious type but not a dark one, more related to love, at least that's my impression. I might be wrong. Not so many chances to see him in the first episode, cute though.

JURI. He is SO different from his aniki, Koki, and this makes me happy. Koki is my ichiban in KAT-TUN but I don't like brothers to have the same personality, it's more interesting if they're different, ne? He plays a tough, yet awkward and baka boy. He is the only of this set of juniors that could play this role.

TAKAKI. Bakaki kills me, you know? I thought he would play the role Shintaro is doing but he is somehow the lazy leader, who is not actually a leader, but more like a fallen one. His scenes are funny and you're constantly longing to watch him. さすが、先輩！

UCHI. He appeared during seconds. Shintaro was shouting "aniki, aniki~" and I died a little cause, for a split second, my heart was hoping Ryutaro to appear but that didn't happen. Instead Uchi just gave him some words of encouragement and disappeared. I'm still wondering what's up with that?

MIYACCHIN. He plays the frightened sensei... XD! Same as Uchi he only appeared during seconds but just seeing him makes me smile so I hope more and more from him. I'm hoping to see a different side of Miyata-san, he is cool too, I know it.

Overall, a predictable drama, but a huge chance to measure the acting skills of our strongest juniors. I would've loved to see some of the kansai juniors too, but that's a never-ending battle.

Lately, I'm kinda confused about what Johnny-san wants for A.B.C-Z and the 4 back-dancers of Kisumai. They are getting a stage play for the time being (all 9 of them plus all the juniors).

A couple of days ago I was excited because 4nin Kisumai got to hold mics and talk in Heyx3 and even Miyata is promoting their singles with Kitayama... but the I realized that would be major if they were juniors but they are not!

I don't like when groups or Johnny's get to debut and then don't get any attention. And of course the major problem is that nobody would talk about it. We, fans, can only wait and see.

OTL

Words can't describe how proud I am of this. Isn't it beautiful? Looking at it I can't help but to think of those years Arashi struggled to get to even a regular place in charts and their future didn't look so bright. Nowadays, Arashi is THE japanese group. They've contributed in so many ways to the restoration of Japan, and they keep working hard on it. Not to mention they are senpais worth to admire. Once again, I'm proud to be a J&A's fan.

So... let me just say this is just my assumption. No source or anything...

Most of you know that little bit before Kanjani8's release of FIGHT album, there was a cheer that goes like "eito bito"... this became well known after the album cause it was often repeated in most tracks of it. This actually goes way back to 2008... with the release of the single "エイトビート" by The Cro-Magnons.

 

 

Who are The Cro-Magnons? For those who aren't familiar with japanese punk since its origins, let me just say this is a relatively new band formed by old guys... who are these old guys? 

Koumoto Hiroto & Mashima Masatoshi (the guy who does weird dance moves and the guy who wears that weird thing on his forehead)... and no, they are not weird in my book. And yes, I also think that Subaru copied his weird dance moves from Koumoto-san.

These excentric guys used to belong to bands like The High-Lows & originally... The Blue Heart (this is just THE japanese punk band... ever). And why is this relevant? Well, this 2 guys have been very influent among some Johnny's... when it comes to music.

Today I wanna talk about Subaru (Kanjani8) & Nino (Arashi)... one has THE voice, and the other one... well, he plays the guitar. Don't get me wrong, both are my ichibans in their groups, and let me say that if Nino had the voice of Subaru... he would do exactly the same kind of music. He has stated in many of his radio shows (yeah, I listen to them) that he is a HUGE fan of Ramones and their equivalent in Japan... The Blue Hearts.

We got a taste of this, in last year's dorama "Freeter, ie wo kau." (Seiji is so much like Nino in so many ways...if it wasn't because Nino can buy pretty much any house he likes or 10). In that part Nino is singing one of "The Blue Hearts" most popular anthem "Linda, Linda".

Subaru is a star, gods have given him THAT voice, so he could actually sing with this band he (and a lot of people, including me) admires. He did a really amazing job in last month's "Shounen Club Premium Session", even shines more than them at some point. It's fair to say that Subaru was very much involved with "FIGHT" album... he might look like this little guy who doesn't talk much, but he does things in his way and I like that. Let me share with you these 2 tracks of them... cause you probably can find the video anywhere...

 

I recommend you to check the making of his solo "Ah," (FIGHT album) and this episode. And there's also a dorama back in recently debuted days of Arashi that had Nino & Subaru... my two little punk Johnny's ∞

He talks a little bit more about the PV and how cheerful is the song... how we can feel more happy thanks to it. I love this song, I just wish their eyes in the PV weren't that red thingy.
